Our fabulous photo shoot with professional photographic make-up is normally £85.
However: Book one of our short-notice time slots (subject to availability) and your photo session will be absolutely FREE!
You’ll get just the same treatment as if you’d paid the full price. All we ask is that you pay our usual £15 booking fee to confirm your appointment. This can then be put toward the cost of your photographs or will be refunded if you decide not to buy any.
The theme for your shoot could be a gorgeous head-and-shoulders beauty portrait or if you’re feeling more adventurous, one of the fashion/glamour/boudoir/arty styles in our galleries.
Important… Our studio is in the Vale of Clwyd, 35 minutes from Chester.

Where is the studio?
We’re just 35 minutes in each direction from Wrexham, Rhyl, Chester and the M56 motorway (links to M6) (get route map)
They say there’s no such thing as a ‘free lunch’ – so what’s the catch?
No catch. This is much the same principle as airlines selling last-minute seats at a bargain price. Most of our customers tend to book a couple of weeks in advance, leaving our diary with unsold time slots. Also, these shoots give us the opportunity to expand our own portfolio and experiment with new lighting techniques, camera angles and different styles – something we couldn’t really expect of customers who have paid for their sessions.
If it’s really free – why the £15 booking fee?
We always charge a £15 deposit at the time of booking. It helps to ensure that the bookings are genuine and that the person is going to turn up. We are, after all, committing up to two hours studio time and the services of a photographer and make-up artist to the booking.
What do I get?
Professionally applied photographic make-up will be included (except for family portrait sittings). The make-up is for one but you may have a partner or other person join you for the photo shoot if you wish.
A day or two after the photo shoot we will help you review the images. Finished photographs will be available at our normal prices. You can choose from our framed and unframed portraits and album collections. We also have a new Digital portfolio option with fully retouched print-ready images costing from as little as £28 each with quantity discounts – and we’ll even give you free internet optimised copies of your chosen pictures for your Facebook page.
Will I be pressured into buying lots of expensive photographs?
Absolutely not. You can of course buy as few or as many as you wish, although there is absolutely no obligation. We don’t employ sales staff. You’ll just be dealing with Jayne and Chris throughout.

This is the perfect opportunity to see how good you could look in a professional beauty photograph without having to pay expensive session fees. And if you happen to be an aspiring model, you’ll get to experience of some of the posing techniques used in the professional studio environment.
Terms and Conditions
- The offer is limited to one photo shoot per person/household. You are welcome to bring along another person to be included in some of your photographs, although the actual make-over is for one person.
- Participants arranging the photo shoot must be aged 18 or over. Any person(s) under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult during the photo shoot and viewing appointment.
- Participants will be asked to sign a release form assigning Jayne and Chris Birchall permission to use the images for promotional purposes, but will be able to exclude any images they deem not appropriate.
- These promotional sessions are offered on weekdays, on a fairly short-notice basis, subject to availability.
- A booking deposit of £15 is taken to secure the date and is refundable at the time of the viewing appointment in the form of a credit against photographs purchased. The date of the photo shoot may be changed once without losing the deposit providing 48 hours notice is given.
- The use of your own cameras and camera phones is not permitted during the photo shoot or viewing appointments.
- The vouchers have have no redemption value and may not be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer.
- The Studio reserves the right to suspend this promotion or vary its conditions at any time without notice and in such circumstances liability shall be limited to the return of any booking deposit paid.
